My Story - Julia Gillard

Julia Elieen Gillard, the 27^th Prime Minister of Australia.  Born in the United Kingdom. Sworn in as Prime Minister in 2007. The first female to run as Prime Minister.

My Story is not just a political memoir, it is a raw first-person account of what it was like to become the first woman as Prime Minister in Australia, the triumphs, the turmoil and the limits that were pushed to take a stand in the top job.

This autobiography is engaging, inspiring and candid, and truly makes you wonder what it truly takes to be a woman in a powerful position, any position but especially the Prime Minister of Australia.

As My story is written in a first-person position, albeit – leisurely paced, it demonstrates the story of a leader trying to live up and deliver in the face of the government, the media and the people that elected her. 

It dives into her politically driven youth and her career in law, her time as Deputy Prime Minister and right up to the moment of  being elected and being removed from her powerful position.
